Yichen Pan is an interdisciplinary designer based in New York whose work explores the sustainability of both environment and culture. With a background in fashion and textile, her practice spans wearables, future textiles, calligraphy, painting, installation, and sculpture. Rooted in traditional Chinese aesthetics, she began training in calligraphy and ink painting at a young age. Yichen often works with recycled and post-consumer materials, combining them with handcraft techniques to reimagine heritage in a contemporary context. Through an intuitive and introspective approach, she reflects on the emotional connection between material, memory, and cultural continuity in an era of ecological crisis.
